Quality Assurance, Certified Product Integrity and trust underly every activity at Croom Precision Medical. Croom Precision has a 20 year track record of delivering medical implants, components and instruments which adhere to the latest FDA compliance standards.

Quality Certification

Croom Precision Medical provides full certification on all manufactured medical implants and implant components in accordance with each customer’s specification and requirements.

This includes a certificate of conformance and inspection reports based on sampling tolerances or 100% inspection.

Testing Capabilities

Air Gauging / Tapers

Air gaging is a proven technique of non-contact measurement for measuring with very high precision all kinds of dimensions on precision mechanical parts, but it is especially adapted for diameters and tapers with high tolerances

Surface Hardness

Hardness testing enables us to evaluate a material’s properties, such as strength, ductility, and wear resistance, and helps us determine whether a material is suitable for our customer requirements.

Surface Roughness

On-site roughness testers are used to accurately determine the surface texture or surface roughness of a material.

Roundness Testing

Here at Croom Medical, we are equipped with both the technology and knowledge to measure roundness as required by our customers. Our systems use rotational techniques to measure radial deviations from a rotating datum axis. 

Micro Testing of Materials

Here in Croom, we use Micro examination technology to perform a number of purposes, most commonly it is carried out to assess the structure of material for quality purposes. This enables us to ensure that the correct heat treatment is employed. This also allows us to ensure castings are free from cracks, voids, and segregations.

Coordinate Measuring Machine

Our coordinate measuring machine, also known as a CMM, is used to measure the geometries of physical objects. CMMs use a probing system to detect discreet points on the surfaces of objects.

Force Testing

Here in Croom, we have we are equipped with Force testing technologies used as a way of determining how an object will react when it is subjected to tensile or compressive loads. This is used to support and confirm products are meeting customers’ needs.

Optical Comparator Measurement

Our Optical comparators are used for two-dimensional measurement capabilities (X and Y directions) A major benefit beyond part integrity is that non-contact gauges also eliminate the “feel factor”, resulting in human error of hand gauges. With this subjectivity removed, Our customers receive consistency in their measured values.
