The event takes place April 13–16, 2026, at the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
As a result of its ongoing collaboration with Global Advanced Metals (GAM), Croom Medical will join GAM at booth #2171 to showcase TALOS™, the company’s technology platform for 3D-printing fully dense and porous tantalum components at scale for medical device and industrial applications.
TALOS™ Shortlisted for TCT Healthcare Application Award
In addition to exhibiting at the event, Croom Medical is proud to announce that TALOS™ has been shortlisted as a finalist for the TCT Healthcare Application Award at the 2026 TCT Awards. The ceremony will take place on the evening of April 14 during RAPID + TCT, recognising the most significant innovations in additive manufacturing globally.
Developed through a multi-year research collaboration with GAM, TALOS™ overcomes long-standing challenges in processing tantalum using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF). Specifically, the platform enables the scalable, repeatable production of complex tantalum structures with exceptional density and precision. Furthermore, it produces orthopedic implants that mimic natural bone architecture, with the potential for supporting faster bone ingrowth and long-term fixation.
This recognition follows Croom Medical’s Innovation in Engineering Award win at the 2025 Irish Engineering Excellence Awards for its development of the TALOS™ platform.
