Croom Community Development Association (CCDA) is delighted to announce their annual St Patrick’s Day 10k Run.
Patricia Ryan, CCDA CAEO made the announcement at Croom Medical on Tuesday last. “We are delighted to have Croom Medical as our main sponsor again in 2025, it is such a great endorsement to have this multi award winning company be the sponsor of a community event. Croom Medical achieve excellence in their field and CCDA are very proud to have this great employer in Croom. Croom Medical recently celebrated their forty-year anniversary.”
Ronan Donovan of Croom Medical noted that “Last year, CCDA and their team delivered an excellent St. Patrick’s Day community run. This initiative aligns with Croom Medical’s mission to support our community, and we’re excited to be part of it again this year.”
Patricia explained “In 2024 the event saw runners from across North Munster attend and that the winner in 2024 had travelled from Wexford. There is an opportunity for runners at all levels at this event on St Patricks Day, the 10k run is chipped and timed. There is a second event a fun 5k run. Both events are early morning, so lots of opportunity to attend your local parade after your run around Croom. We hope people will be able stay for a cup of tea after the race to decompress.”
Croom 10K sponsored by Croom Medical takes place on St Patricks Day morning 9am and is available to book on line on www.cromadh.com/events/all. The route of the event will take the athletes around Croom Town with highlights such as the Riverwalk and Croom Town Park, taking in views of the River Maigue and then the route takes the runners out towards Crecora and the fantastic views of Tory Hill with its unique bearing on the skyline and then it is back to Croom Sports Hall for the all important finish and some refreshments.
