Precision machining at Croom Medical supports the manufacture of complex medical components and instruments.
Croom Medical is expanding its capacity for orthopaedic instrument programmes through investment in mill-turn, sliding-head and five-axis machining as ACOT develops.
Our roots in precision toolmaking continue to shape that work. Since the business began in 1984, machining, tooling and fixture development have been central to how our teams solve manufacturing problems. Today, that experience supports OEMs developing complex orthopaedic instruments as well as implant components.
A workable manufacturing route starts with the detail: component geometry, materials, critical features, expected volumes and inspection requirements. Our engineering teams work with customers to consider those requirements together, including the tooling and fixtures needed to hold and manufacture the part.
The investment associated with ACOT extends this capability across complementary machining processes. It is intended to help us support a broader range of instrument programmes, with engineering input connected to the production route from the outset.
OEM teams planning a new instrument programme or reviewing an existing manufacturing route can contact Croom Medical to discuss drawings, quantities and programme requirements.
